The most comprehensive source of local climatological data for the United States are the National Centers for Environmental Information. The NOAA-funded Great Lakes Sciences and Assessments Center is joint-venture between the University of Michigan and Michigan State University. GLISA synthesizes climate information for the Great Lakes region, producing value-added climatological products and summaries, such as the Historical Climatology document shown below left). The National Weather Service Forecast Office in Detroit, MI has a web-based climate data portal for the State of Michigan, which includes tabular daily climatological summaries for recent months, such as the table shown below right.
